so... last night i managed to break not one but TWO stands i'm not sure if it's because it was extra cold in my house last night or what but i couldn't shove the dolls back in their clear stands... the other stands were just fine... but the transparent ones apparently are not as sturdy... am i the only one who has encountered this issue? ...and if so.. i guess let this be a warning... i hate the transparent stands

that's horrible. I've only had stands break in the mail I'll definitely be more careful to avoid anything like this if it is something to do with the weather or transparent stands. Thanks for the warning! I'm yet to own any transparent stands (other than DT Lagoona's) but I wouldn't be surprised if the lack of solid colour makes them more rigid or something?

Oh no!! That totally sucks! I don't have any with clear stands yet, but I'll be really careful if I ever get some that do! :< Maybe you could explain what happened to Mattel. They may replace them for you.

ive broken 2 so far, lagoona science one, and frankies home ick one.... there both the clear sort, and both broke in the same place, so i think its a weakness in that plastic type... mattle were kind enough to send me a replacement though

*sigh* Despite my attempts to be very careful, I managed to snap my Classroom Lagoona's stand (transparent green). I was able to super-glue it back together and it's been ok so far, but I wouldn't be surprised if it snaps again. Still, it shouldn't happen. Nice to hear that Mattel is kind enough to replace them though Probably not when you've already taken to them with super glue though lol The transparent stands definitely feel much more rigid compared to the opaque. Not good when the waist grip needs to flex!

hmm... that must be who's i broke... classroom lagoona's... can anyone verify for me... is toralei's stand the transparent red one? I'm supposed to give mattel the product numbers for the sets in which the stands broke but i can't even remember which sets the stands go to since i had all my stands in one pile and all my dolls in another before i changed them and put them on stands... :\

My Toralei came with a black, opaque stand.
Though I know that, at least with Skull Shores, the stands can be different colors for the same doll.

Just bumping this topic back up because I noticed my SS Lagoona stand came with a different shaped waist clip compared to my SS Draculaura (and every other MH stand I've ever seen)... Has anyone else noticed this? Both are the teal coloured stands and both were purchased within Australia - Lagoona in store and Draculaura online from a toy store.
I'll grab a picture to post here if anyone's interested.

Draculaura's on the left and to the right is Miss Lagoona's It's almost as if they've just shaved off the extra round notches on the end.. There's no force needed at all with Lagoona's and to be honest I was a little bit worried it wouldn't hold her since she has a bare mid section. Luckily though, it seems to work perfectly! ;D

Interesting! I just looked through all of mine, and not even my two newest dolls (SS Frankie and SS Draculaura) are like that!

Oddly enough, the other SS dolls I've checked out in stores all have the regular waist clips packaged with them too... I haven't seen anything like this mentioned anywhere else so maybe I just scored a freak factory flawed waist clip lol
